MOM has announced that the following countries will be added to the Non-Traditional Source (NTS) list, allowing their citizens to work as FDWs in Singapore:
Medical Examination Requirements
All FDWs must pass medical examinations before and during employment
Pre-Employment Medical
FDW must pass a medical examination in her home country before traveling to Singapore.
Required Tests
- HIV/AIDS screening
- Syphilis test (VDRL)
- Tuberculosis (chest X-ray)
- Pregnancy test
Post-Arrival Medical (6ME)
Within 14 days of arriving in Singapore, the FDW must undergo another medical examination.
Required Tests
- Same tests as pre-employment
- Must be done at MOM-approved clinic
- Results submitted to MOM via WP Online
- Failure may result in work permit cancellation
Six-Monthly Medical Examination
FDWs must undergo medical examination every 6 months throughout their employment.
Required Tests

- Must be completed within 14 days of due date
- Employers notified via SMS/email reminder

Medical Examination Failure
If an FDW fails any medical examination, the work permit will be revoked and she must return to her home country. Employers are responsible for arranging and paying for the return trip.
